Vivah is an Indian romantic comedy film directed by Akash Jain and written by Rohit Modi, which released on 23 October 2018. This film stars Rajkummar Rao, Patralekha Chatterjee, Misti Gandwani, Akshay Oberoi and Surveen Chawla in leading roles. The movie Vivah revolves around four friends who are all named after different days of the week; Shravan for Saturday (Saturdays), Sita for Sunday (Sundays), Bhairav for Monday (Mondays) and Divya for Tuesday (Tuesdays). They share a bond of the same name and have been friends since their school days. Divya's parents have just gotten married and the wedding has been scheduled for new year's day. Shravan had a crush on Divya, but she didn't reciprocate. One day, while walking home from college, he gets dizzy and falls on a street corner. He sees Divya and she rushes to help him get up. They share a moment in which they both realise that there is something between them; not only is their friendship growing stronger but so is their love for each other. Divya's parents have been planning the wedding for a decade and have been saving for this day ever since they got married. When Divya's mother finds out that her daughter has a crush on Shravan, she gets shocked. This causes a rift in the family and Divya postpones her wedding immediately. She later reveals to Shravan that she loves him too but delaying the wedding is not an option. In order to keep the family together, they decide to get married in secret and live in different houses because Divya's family will never approve of their marriage - especially after having been planning the wedding for so long. On the day of the wedding, Shravan goes to Divya's house with her family and makes it look like they are getting married. The next day, he moves into his new home and they begin their new lives there. Sita is Divya's childhood friend. One night she comes back home after meeting her friends and she gets locked outside of her house because she forgot her keys inside. She spends the night on the porch sitting on a bed. At 8 am in the morning, she hears someone opening the door but doesn't know who it is so she hides under the bed so that person doesn't see her sitting there through the crack of the bedroom door. She watches as Shravan and Divya wake up and get ready for the day. Divya goes to the kitchen where Sita is hiding and leaves one of her shoes on the bed. When she goes to pick it up, she realizes that there is someone else inside the house with them. She gets scared and says that whoever's inside had better come out.
